July 31: YES! You CAN be Happy! And That's a PROMISE!!!
Jeremiah 17:5-8
Amplified Bible (AMP)
5 Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like a shrub or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.
7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.
I have learned this by experience. When I place all my trust in humans, they fail me. On the other hand, I fail those who put all their trust in me. Why? Because they are human. And I am human. We are full of failures and shortcomings.
Romans 3:4

4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
However, when we trust God, He NEVER lets us down. Okay, sometimes He completely throws us for a loop. Because in our finite, teeny weeny understanding, we can't see where He's going with His plan. But if we just chill, relax, and go with the flow of His marvelous, sometimes painful design, blindly trusting in His great love for us, there's a 100% chance we will be laughing, dancing, and singing His praises when it's all over! No, I'm not talking about heaven here. I'm talking about the other side of the terrible trial we may find ourselves in right now! The God of the universe has a specific strategy for each one of us. Most of us NEVER find out what God could have done in us and through us. Because we are impatient and run the other direction when the pain happens. Lets go back to verses 7 and 8.7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.

There we have it, folks! That's it in a nutshell. In the midst of the pain, BELIEVE! When it hurts, TRUST! When you're in a fog of confusion, HOPE! Fix your eyes on your Heavenly Father. Say NO to fear. Say NO to anxiety. It's right in the Word. Embrace the peace that passes ALL understanding. You CAN do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you.

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]?
"Dear God this is a tough but easy task. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy. You have given us just enough intelligence to be dangerous. Because sometimes we think too highly of ourselves and our schemes, and we don't look to You for guidance. Instead, we trust in humans and our own heart. Please keep drawing us back to You and Your perfect masterpiece for our lives. Help us to LET GO! Of our selfish desires. Because they NEVER work out for our good. You want us to be deliriously happy! That happiness is found in You alone. I worship You and thank You for Your beautiful word that keeps bringing us back home to You. You are Worthy of our highest praise! In Jesus name we pray all this, AMEN."
