Jeremiah 31:31-34

Amplified Bible (AMP)

31 Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,

32 Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was their Husband, says the Lord.

33 But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

34 And they will no more teach each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know the Lord, for they will all know Me [recognize, understand, and be acquainted with Me], from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will [seriously] remember their sin no more.

A new covenant! Excuse me but if I would have gone through in my marriage what God went through with the houses of Israel and Judah, I would not be so forgiving. God was willing to start all over with a completely different plan... the Cross. His blood was spilled so that we could have a brand new covenant. And a brand new life.
"Jesus, once again, I am coming to You, thanking You for Your supreme Sacrifice. You didn't have to do it. After all You went through with Your ungrateful "wife" who was unfaithful to You. Your response? You came to earth as a helpless baby. Your sole purpose was to die. You died for the people who despised You. Who ridiculed and mocked You. Who spit on You and beat You to a bloody pulp." 

Isaiah 52:14

14 [For many the Servant of God became an object of horror; many were astonished at Him.] His face and His whole appearance were marred more than any man’s, and His form beyond that of the sons of men—but just as many were astonished at Him,

"You are shockingly amazing. Your love is shocking. I tremble at Your holiness, Jesus. I tremble as I pray, Make me like You, Jesus. AMEN."
