August 22: Are You in Prison?

Jeremiah 21:1-22:9, 34:1-7, chapter 32, 33:1-9

Jeremiah 33:1-3

Amplified Bible (AMP)

33 Moreover, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the guard, saying,

2 Thus says the Lord Who made [the earth], the Lord Who formed it to establish it—the Lord is His name:

3 Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand). 

Are you in shut up in a prison as Jeremiah was? God is saying, "Call to Me and I will answer You and show You great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know."

Maybe you're in a prison of poor health. Maybe you are facing a death sentence. 

Maybe you are in a prison of hellish relationships.

A financial ruin prison.

A prison of depression and hopelessness.

Maybe you've been in this prison all your life!

The word of the Lord has come to You this morning! "Call to Me and I will answer you! And show you great and mighty things! Hidden things!" 

"Dear Jesus, the Great and Mighty God who died and rose again so that we could be free, You died to free us from prison! You died so we could live, really live. Please help each one of us to obey Your still small voice and call to You! You have promised to answer us and pull us out of the fog of bewilderment. Reveal to us Your plans! Reveal Your great and mighty things! You bring hope and a future to the hopeless! We will praise and honor You forever! In Jesus name I pray this, AMEN."
