November 19: Don't Mess With Heaven!
Matthew 28:2-4
Amplified Bible (AMP)
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled the boulder back and sat upon it.
3 His appearance was like lightning, and his garments as white as snow.
4 And those keeping guard were so frightened at the sight of him that they were agitated and they trembled and became like dead men.
BOOM!!!
I stopped in my tracks when I read this and sat in awe. What a fantastic sight that must have been! When God decides He's had enough, look out!!!
My dad had made a notation in the margin which is a sermon title I have heard him preach. "Don't Mess with Heaven!" We have NO IDEA what we are getting ourselves into when we play around with His Laws. He is a great and terrible God!
And yet He stoops down to hear my little prayers. He stoops down to whisper words of encouragement in my ear. Many times a day He says, "Don't worry about it! I've got you on this!"
Lately I'm homesick. I love my life. I love music. I love singing about Jesus saving my soul and loving me. I love spreading the Gospel. I love seeing someone's dead eyes spark with hope again. I love seeing hands raised worshiping Jesus. But still, I am homesick for Him. I want to see Jesus face to face.

12 His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand.
I want to be with my Jesus forever!
Revelation 21
Amplified Bible (AMP)
21 Then I saw a new sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea.
2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, all arrayed like a bride beautified and adorned for her husband;
3 Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God.
4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.
5 And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine).
6 And He [further] said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I [Myself] will give water without price from the fountain (springs) of the water of Life.
7 He who is victorious shall inherit all these things, and I will be God to him and he shall be My son.
I want to go there! I want to be His daughter!
"Dear Jesus, thank You for Your amazing word. Thank You for every time I feel Your sweet presence. Thank You for this beautiful, incredible earth You allow me to live on temporarily. Thank You for this jar of clay You've given me to live in for a while. But it's all just a vapor of smoke. Poof! Without warning, when I least expect it, it will be gone. I look forward to the day when I can be with You forever! I just want to go there. I'm homesick for a place I've never been, Jesus. Help me to be like Noah and do EVERYTHING You have asked me to do as I keep my eyes focused on that lovely place! You are worthy of my very best, Dear Jesus. You gave Your very best for me. I pray all this in Your precious name, AMEN."
