May 10, 2013: Catching Up.../ Royal Wedding! I Want Everything to Be Perfect!!!

Psalm 45 AMP

My heart overflows with a goodly theme; I address my psalm to a King. My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
You are fairer than the children of men; graciousness is poured upon Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever.
Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O mighty One, in Your glory and Your majesty!
And in Your majesty ride on triumphantly for the cause of truth, humility, andrighteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); and let Your right hand guide You to tremendous things.
Your arrows are sharp; the peoples fall under You; Your darts pierce the hearts of the King’s enemies.
Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You love righteousness, uprightness, and right standing with God and hate wickedness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.
Your garments are all fragrant with myrrh, aloes, and cassia; stringed instruments make You glad.
Kings’ daughters are among Your honorable women; at Your right hand stands the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Hear, O daughter, consider, submit, and consent to my instruction: forget also your own people and your father’s house;
11 So will the King desire your beauty; because He is your Lord, be submissive andreverence and honor Him.
12 And, O daughter of Tyre, the richest of the people shall entreat your favor with a gift.
13 The King’s daughter in the inner part [of the palace] is all glorious; her clothing is inwrought with gold.
14 She shall be brought to the King in raiment of needlework; with the virgins, her companions that follow her, she shall be brought to You.
15 With gladness and rejoicing will they be brought; they will enter into the King’s palace.
16 Instead of Your fathers shall be Your sons, whom You will make princes in all the land.
17 I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise and give You thanks forever and ever.
I'm invited to a wedding. Not just any beautiful wedding. But I'm invited to the Wedding to End All Weddings!!!
I've been to plenty of weddings. As a young girl, I LOVED attending weddings. I would stare in adoration at the beautiful bride! And gaze longingly at the handsome groom! All the while, I'd be planning my own special day with my own special imaginary groom.
In 1980, I married my sweetheart. Our wedding was very nice. We had a couple of mishaps. The bridal bouquet never arrived. Yes, that's right. I carried two wilting, red roses down the aisle. Plus it was very warm in the church. No air conditioning. Other than these minor challenges, it was a lovely wedding!
In 2012, I was privileged to plan and attend my daughter's wedding. OMGoodness. This was soooo much fun. We brought live trees and outdoor flowering bushes into the church and many said they'd never seen the church decorated so beautifully.
But this wedding I'm talking about is going to be slightly different. ENTIRELY different, in fact.
Oh, and there's one tiny piece of the puzzle I haven't mentioned yet. I'M THE BRIDE!!!!!! Yes, that's correct. I will join with the saints of the Most High God. We will be united with our Redeemer! He is currently preparing a heavenly home for us! We will reign with Him forever!!!
The ROYAL WEDDING TO END ALL ROYAL WEDDINGS.
It's not a cute fairy tale, folks. It's really gonna happen.
"Jesus, I'm so excited! I want everything to be perfect! I want to be pure! I want to be Your spotless Bride! Purify me! Cleanse me! I am watching and waiting! You are my Redeemer! You are my Savior! You are the Lover of my soul! My soul waits anxiously for Your return. I long to be with You forever! Continue to perfect Your bride, Jesus. I am a willing vessel. Yours truly and forever, AMEN."
