GOD Morning! Will Power is a Myth
GOD morning,
“The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—I have come to do your will, my God.’”
First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:
“This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”
Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”
And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.” Hebrews 10:1-18
So how about it? Our way is not working. There is no such thing as will power. Seriously? If will power worked, there would be no drug addicts, gambling addicts, food addicts, and the list goes on. We can try and try and try. The end result is failure.
How about if we put verse nine into practice in our own lives? How about if we set aside our way which is not working and establish God’s way?
By one Sacrifice, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ when he died on the cross, we are made holy. Once and for all, the scripture clearly says. BOOM.
Basically we give up. We give up trying and trying and trying our way. Which never has worked for anyone. We simply give up and let Jesus be our Supreme Sacrifice.
He will put His law in our hearts and write them on our minds. How beautiful is that?
How to receive God power:
1. By speaking in tongues every day in prayer. For a substantial amount of time. Until you feel fully surrendered to God. Until you feel empowered.

How to receive God power:
1. By speaking in tongues every day in prayer. For a substantial amount of time. Until you feel fully surrendered to God. Until you feel empowered.
2. By daily study of the Bible. For years I simply read a daily passage of the Bible. My mind wandered as I read. I basically put my time in. Only when I turned my Bible reading into a devotion did it start to really change me from the inside out. I started prayerfully reading through the Bible in a year, and writing my thoughts each day. Wow. What a difference this simple change made in my life.
3. By systematically kicking out overwhelming feelings of negativity, unforgiveness or bitterness from your heart all day long and all night long, as many times as it takes. A simple reminder is this. Every time you take a shower or clean your home, ask God to clean out your heart as well. Make it a habit.
4. By removing people or things from your life that are hindering the flow of God power. You know who or what they are. Just do it. It will be the hardest thing you have done, but oh, what power and freedom will result from ripping them out.
5. By holding nothing back from God. Here’s how to hold nothing back from God: Just say this prayer out loud. Memorize it. Tweak it to fit you. “Here You go, God. Here is all of me. Take me. I give myself to You. Fully and completely. I surrender my mind, body, and spirit to You. I am not my own anymore. I am bought with a price. The price of Your blood, shed for me. Take over. I have tried, time and time again and failed, time and time again. Will power is a myth. I need God power. Infuse me with Your power. In Jesus name I pray.”
6. Get out of God’s way. Every time you feel frustrated, simply get out of God’s way. Step aside. Watch Him do it His way. Remember, your way has never worked.
7. Worship your way to wholeness. All day. Every day.
I’m sure there are more steps. Just ask God to customize the steps to fit you. Simply keep going back to these steps. For the rest of your life. These steps are tried and proven.
“Dear Jesus, someone is beating their head against the wall, spiritually. They keep doing the same thing over and over and it’s clearly not working. Please. Open their eyes this morning. Show them that they must let go and let God. You offered up the Supreme Sacrifice. Will power is a myth. But God power is reality. I believe that You are working right now. As I am praying this prayer, You are infusing someone with Your God power. Thank You, dear Jesus for the Supreme Sacrifice of Your blood. How I love You, AMEN.”
Blessings,
Vicki
