Forgive
Forgive
Mark 11:20-26 Amplified Bible (AMP)
20 In the morning, when
they were passing along, they noticed that the fig tree was withered
[completely] away to its roots.
21 And Peter remembered and
said to Him, Master, look! The fig tree which You doomed has withered away!
22 And Jesus, replying,
said to them, Have faith in God [constantly].
23 Truly I tell you,
whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does
not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place,
it will be done for him.
24 For this reason I am
telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident)
that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].
25 And whenever you stand
praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order
that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.
26 But if you do not
forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and
shortcomings.

Must-know Reasons To Forgive (by John Daniel):
#1. Forgive people who hurt us so that God may forgive us our sins.
"And
when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so
that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."(Mark 11:25)
#2. Forgiveness doesn't excuse their behavior. Forgiveness prevents their behavior from destroying your heart.
#3. You will begin to heal when you let go of past hurts, forgive those who have wronged you and learn to forgive yourself for your mistakes.
#4. Forgiveness does not change your past, but it does enlarge your future.
#5. You can't reach for anything new if your hands are full of yesterday's junk.
#6. It takes a strong person to say sorry but a stronger person to show forgiveness.
#7. Without forgiveness life is governed by an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation.
#8. Forgiveness is the economy of the heart. Forgiveness saves the expense of anger, the cost of hatred, the waste of spirits.
#9. Pain is the fist that knocks you down. Forgiveness is the hand that helps you back up again.
#10. Forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it. And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness.

Let’s pray together…
“Dear Jesus, help me
to forgive. Every day. Multiple times a day. I can’t expect one single blessing
from You if I am not willing to forgive. I know I have been wronged. But I also
know trying to “talk it out” with the person does not always work. Sometimes it
only became worse. So I have a choice. Forgive and be forgiven by You, or allow
bitterness to take root and destroy me from the inside out. I choose to
forgive. I choose to turn my enemies over to You. I choose to love my enemies.
Help me with this! I cannot do this on my own. I need Your unconditional love
to take over my heart! Also please never allow me to forget that I am not
perfect. I have wronged others as well! Forgive me and thank You for Your
cleansing power in my life! Thanks ahead of time, Jesus! In Your name I pray, AMEN."
