2 Kings 22

22 Josiah was eight years old when he began his thirty-one-year reign in Jerusalem. His mother was Jedidah daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.

2 He did right in the sight of the Lord and walked in all the ways of David his [forefather], and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

25 There was no king like him before or after [Josiah] who turned to the Lord with all his heart and all his soul and all his might, according to all the Law of Moses.

Sadly, folks, if someone were to write my life story, they definitely would NOT be able to say this about me. I was selfish for the first part of my life. But Josiah was called and anointed even at the age of 8! What an amazing child he must have been!

"God, I have messed up a lot over the span of my almost 55 years. But now I can say that I am finally attempting to turn not aside to the right or the left. Thank You, Jesus! You can take a middle aged woman such as myself and make a clay pot that You can actually use! Why? Because, at long last, I have allowed You to work in me! I'm no Josiah, that's for sure. Thanks for never giving up on me! You saw that desire waaaaaay down in my heart that was piled to overflowing with selfishness. And You just kept tugging at me. Praise Your Holy Name!!! AMEN."
