GOD Morning!  June 23, 2016
Why Not?

Luke 18:24-30
24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How difficult it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man [who places his faith in wealth or status] to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 And those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” 27 But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
28 Peter said, “Look, we have left all [things—homes, families, businesses] and followed You.”29 And He said to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who will not receive many times as much in this present age and in the age to come, eternal life.”
Our home is not a mansion, but to me it is. I have been in homes that are truly fabulous. But our home is the picture that I drew with my crayons when I was a little girl. 2 story with 8 paned windows everywhere. And a big tree in the front yard. I have never desired bigger and better.
Would I leave my home for the sake of kingdom of God? A thousand times yes! I think it would be cool to sell the home, buy an RV and travel around helping churches. With whatever. Remodeling projects, outreach, music, to name a few.
When we hang on tight, we will lose everything. When we give everything to God, there is a 100 percent chance that He will take care of us. Plus, the rewards are 100 times over! So why not give all to Jesus?
“I promise you,” returned Jesus, “nobody leaves home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property for my sake and the Gospel’s without getting back a hundred times over, now in this present life, homes and brothers and sisters, mothers and children and land—though not without persecution—and in the next world eternal life. But many who are first now will then be last, and the last now will then be first.” Mark 10:30 Phillips
“Dear Jesus, I have no idea what You have in store for us. Our children are grown and married. We are content and happy where You have placed us. We are having so much fun working for You right here. We are willing to stay. We are willing to go. Thy Will be done! Thanks for stirring my heart once again! You are my Lord. You are my all in all. Help me to tune my ears to Your gentle tug. How I love You, Jesus. AMEN.”
