January 10, 2014: Humbly Fall at His Feet and Be Restored

Matthew 8:1-17   Amplified Bible (AMP)

When Jesus came down from the mountain, great throngs followed Him.
And behold, a leper came up to Him and, prostrating himself, worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me by curing me.
And He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing; be cleansed by being cured. And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed.
And Jesus said to him, See that you tell nothing about this to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering that Moses commanded, for a testimony [to your healing] and as an evidence to the people.
As Jesus went into Capernaum, a centurion came up to Him, begging Him,
And saying, Lord, my servant boy is lying at the house paralyzed and distressed with intense pains.
And Jesus said to him, I will come and restore him.
But the centurion replied to Him, Lord, I am not worthy or fit to have You come under my roof; but only speak the word, and my servant boy will be cured.
For I also am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my slave, Do this, and he does it.
10 When Jesus heard him, He marveled and said to those who followed Him [who adhered steadfastly to Him, conforming to His example in living and, if need be, in dying also], I tell you truly, I have not found so much faith as this with anyone, even in Israel.
11 I tell you, many will come from east and west, and will sit at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,
12 While the sons and heirs of the kingdom will be driven out into the darkness outside, where there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.
13 Then to the centurion Jesus said, Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed. And the servant boy was restored to health at that very moment.
14 And when Jesus went into Peter’s house, He saw his mother-in-law lying ill with a fever.
15 He touched her hand and the fever left her; and she got up and began waiting on Him.
16 When evening came, they brought to Him many who were under the power of demons, and He drove out the spirits with a word and restored to health all who were sick.
17 And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, He Himself took [in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.
This chapter is a faith builder! Are you sick? Just humbly fall, prostrate, before Jesus. As the leper did. Are you or a loved one paralized by intense pain? Simply ask Jesus to speak a word of healing over you. If you have childlike faith as the centurion had, it shall be done. Are you dying? Whether your spirit is dying or your body is dying, Jesus wants to raise you up. Be restored in Jesus name!
What did Peter's mother in law do immediately after she was raised up? She served Jesus. Purpose in your heart you will serve Him like never before. Not some undetermined time off in the future. But immediately.
There is a common thread with these people. Humility. The leper fell prostrate before Jesus. The centurion was someone with authority, and yet he humbly urged Jesus to just speak the word instead of coming to his home. Peter's mother in law immediately began serving Jesus.
Are you tormented by demons (verse 16)?Demons of your past? Jesus is waiting and ready to drive out the demons. Are you tired of fighting? You don't have to fight anymore. He wants to fight for you.

Exodus 14:13    Amplified Bible (AMP)

13 Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again.

2 Chronicles 20:17    Amplified Bible (AMP)

17 You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.
Simply submit yourself under His authority. Resist the devil and he will flee.

James 4:7   Amplified Bible (AMP)

So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.
There is healing, deliverance, and restoration for you today! All you need is humble, childlike faith.
"Dear Jesus, only You can heal, deliver and restore. We are in need of a Savior. We are in need of a Healer. We humbly come to You right now, asking and believing for total restoration. You make all things new! Make us brand new, O God, as only You can. We will praise and honor and glorify Your name, Jesus, forever and ever! AMEN."
