September 26: Return to Me!

Haggai 1 and 2, Zech. 1:1-6

Haggai 1:6-7

Amplified Bible (AMP)
You have sown much, but you have reaped little; you eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you do not have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages has earned them to put them in a bag with holes in it.
Thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways (your previous and present conduct) and how you have fared.
This passage is incredibly relevent for today. God's word never changes and people never change. The thirst for things that feed our fleshly desires never goes away. And we come up empty every time!

Zechariah 1:3

Amplified Bible (AMP)
Therefore say to them [the Jews of this day], Thus says the Lord of hosts: Return to Me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you; it is the utterance of the Lord of hosts.
There is hope! "Return to Me and I will return to you!"
So simple! Just return to Jesus! Just do it. Now.
"Dear Jesus someone is struggling with this simple invitation right this moment. Satan tells them it's impossible. Way too complicated. But he's a liar.
When we return to You, even with our complicated mess in hand, You heal. You deliver. You separate the good and bad. The good rises to the top, and the bad is tossed out. This reminds me of Matthew 3:12:
12 His winnowing fan (shovel, fork) is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear out and clean His threshing floor and gather and store His wheat in His barn, but the chaff He will burn up with fire that cannot be put out.
This is what You desire to do in each of us, O God.
Separate! And then toss out the chaff to be burned! And then heal and deliver! We give You the praise, glory and honor, Jesus! In Your name, AMEN!"
