Isaiah 40:1-41:10

Isaiah 40:27-31

27 Why, O Jacob, do you say, and declare, O Israel, My way and my lot are hidden from the Lord, and my right is passed over without regard from my God?

28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding.

29 He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].

30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;

31 But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

Isaiah 41:8-10

Amplified Bible (AMP)

8 But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham My friend,

9 You whom I [the Lord] have taken from the ends of the earth and have called from the corners of it, and said to you, You are My servant—I have chosen you and not cast you off [even though you are exiled].

10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

Are you held captive? Are you tired? Wondering if God even knows your name? Allow His comforting words to wash over you and calm you in your hour of distress.

"Dear Jesus, comfort Your children today! Those who are tired, weary, or held captive by their storm. Renew, refresh, and restore them by Your mighty hand. Help them to be encouraged to wait a little longer and in the waiting grow stronger. I have been here. Waiting. And then, suddenly I was strengthened by the waiting. And calmed. And then I didn't care how long I had to wait anymore. And that's when Your answers came. And Your deliverence! I worship You for the beautiful molding and shaping You are doing in our lives! We grow stronger and stronger in the waiting. And soon we will be with You, dancing around the throne. Praising You forevermore. I love You, Jesus. AMEN."
